University Events is the central source of resources for campus events.

We take great pride in the exceptional and diverse work that is done across campus as well as off campus with and for our many partners in business, government, and education. University Events is a department in the division of Strategic Communications and External Relations that provides a centralized standard of excellence, quality, and protocol to the Rensselaer family and our partners.

University Events manages the planning and execution of events for the Office of the President, selected events requested by the university leadership, and significant university-wide and community events.

The Office of University Events strives to promote the Rensselaer mission as it plans, manages, implements, and oversees a variety of events for internal and external audiences.

Major events include: Commencement, President’s Colloquy, First Year Convocation, and Honors Convocation. University Events also oversees various building dedications, concerts and festivals, lectures, dignitary visits, and numerous symposiums.

University Events, provides university collateral materials along with templates to ensure that all events on campus have a uniform look and feel. The collateral materials include place cards, name tags, programs, and various forms of signage.

We provide many services to aid the success of each event at Rensselaer because we are dedicated to serving our schools and devoted to promoting Rensselaer. 

To help facilitate your planning, University Events has worked with DotCIO to create Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Guide for Events, Rooms, and Services, also known as RoGERS. This website was created for the purpose of planning and implementing events and will assist in all aspects of scheduling, planning, and executing events of all kinds, from small meetings to major events at venues across the university. This site is designed to help streamline the event planning process, increase communications, advise on academic and ceremonial protocol, and ensure Institute standards and branding.
